What is CoolSculpting?

It’s a non-invasive treatment that is FDA approved to eliminate stubborn fat from 9 areas of the body.

What areas can be treated?

CoolSculpting can treat the abdomen, flanks, buttocks, bra fat, back fat, upper arm, chin, jawline and thighs.

How does it work?

Using an applicator applied to the targeted area, CoolSculpting literally freezes and kills fat cells. The cells are naturally flushed through your body. It’s so gradual, you won’t necessarily notice.

How much fat can I lose?

CoolSculpting can reduce treated fat cells by up to 20-25%.

What happens during treatment?

A gel pad is placed between your skin and the cooling panel. You’ll feel a slight sucking sensation as the applicator adheres to your body. During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb.

During the treatment you’ll be able to read, answer emails or chat with a friend. After the applicator is detached, your provider will do a brief massage on the area(s) to break up the treated fat cells and enhance the fat reduction. That’s it! Most patients experience little to no downtime.

How long does a treatment take? And how many treatments do I need?

One treatment takes approximately 35 minutes. Each targeted area requires two treatments approximately six weeks apart. So, for example, if you wanted to reduce fat in your arms. We would do one treatment on each arm during a session. You would then come back in about six weeks and have the same two areas treated again.

When will I see results?

Results are usually seen one to three months after treatment, but could also take as long as six months.

What about side effects?

Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, and skin sensitivity. You may feel a sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after treatment to the chin area.

Who is the ideal patient for CoolSculpting?

Anyone who is generally close to their ideal weight, exercises and is in good health is an ideal patient. CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution. It’s to get rid of that stubborn fat that won’t budge even with a healthy diet and exercise routine.

When is the best time to have CoolSculpting?

Anytime is the right time.

How expensive is it? And does health insurance pay for it?

Because CoolSculpting is an aesthetic procedure, it is generally not covered by insurance. But we offer great specials with packages starting at as little as $3,200 to treat back fat or for a midsection makeover.  With packages of 8 or more treatments, you could save 50%.
